Nils Henkel - Pure Nature

Nils Henkel***

Nils Henkel, a native of Kiel, has already produced outstanding work in many great Michelin-star kitchens, for example the Landhaus Scherrer in Hamburg or the Valkenhof in Coesfeld. For 14 years now, the top chef has worked in the Lerbach gourmet restaurant, where he has occupied the position of head chef alongside owner Dieter Müller.

In February 2008, the congenial top chef finally fulfilled one of his life's dreams: he took over the kitchen from Dieter Müller. He has proved to be an indisputably worthy successor, who impresses with great talent, enormous creativity and diligence. A Nils Henkel dish has been easy to spot for years. The top chef continues to develop his own style to this day. Unmistakeable precision, perfection in terms of flavour and aesthetics, lightness and harmony are just of a few of the attributes that describe Nils Henkel's culinary work. Individual courses are often also based on certain themes, which can be summarised by the term "Pure Nature". Not just an exciting concept, but also an attitude towards life, which Nils Henkel vividly demonstrates in his cookbook of the same name.

The initiators of the CHEF-SACHE have supported German chefs in particular from the outset. As an important representative of the New German School, Nils Henkel is one of these and is pleased to be able to pass on his well-founded knowledge to the public at the 2011 specialist symposium as well.
